IRC vs modern social media apps

 IRC (Internet Relay Chat) feels very different from modern social media and voice chat apps. Unlike platforms focused on algorithms, followers, and endless feeds, IRC is simple, lightweight, and community-driven. Conversations happen in real time inside channels, without ads, likes, or recommendation systems shaping what people see.

Modern apps like Discord, Telegram, or X offer richer features such as voice chat, video calls, media sharing, and mobile integration, making them more accessible for large audiences. However, many users still appreciate IRC for its openness, privacy, low resource usage, and old-school internet culture where discussion matters more than popularity.

 Dalnet is always like second home , can never feel like home because Undernet was the one, where I joined first.

Undernet Pakistan was one of the most famous irc channel back on 90s. 

Nipah Virus India, Reality or exaggerated by Pakistani media

Pakistani media is reporting Nipah virus is so deadly. Few claiming that world cup 2026 T 20 is also in danger and may be completed shifted to Sri Lanka.

If this will happen it will be major blow for Indian fans.

In media war , sometimes we can't differentiate false news or real news.

ICC mostly depends on Indian sponsors, so may be they will try to hide the real news about Nipah virus. 

Nipah virus death ratio is 75% , so it's a real threat but intensity of it's break out is unclear.

Coming days will clear the picture.
